Grounds & Maintenance

Rubbish gone, properly priced

Shed clear-outs, green waste, hard rubbish across the Northern Rivers. Quoted on volume, not guessed at.

Trailer load of mixed garden and household clear-out, neatly stacked rather than thrown in — placeholder until real photos load

Rubbish removal is one of those jobs where you want a real number, not a “we’ll see when we get there” quote that lands at twice the verbal estimate.

We quote on volume — trailer loads or truckloads. A standard 6×4 trailer is around 1.5m³ heaped; a tipping truck is 8–10m³. We do a walk-through first and tell you which size we need and what it’ll cost. If we’ve underestimated, that’s on us, not on you on the invoice.

We sort as we go. Anything obviously recyclable (clean cardboard, scrap metal, e-waste, garden organics) goes to the appropriate stream rather than landfill. It’s not a moral thing, it’s just better and slightly cheaper than tipping everything as general waste. We’re not going to charge you extra to sort.

What we don’t take: asbestos, paint, chemicals, oils, gas bottles, anything else hazardous. If you’ve got asbestos in a shed clear-out, you need a licensed asbestos removalist; we can recommend. Fridges and freezers go fine as long as they’re empty (food first, then defrosted).

Where the rubbish ends up: green waste to the transfer station composter, scrap metal to the recycler, mixed waste to the appropriate tip. We pay the tip fees out of the quote, not as an extra.

When you need this

The reasons people call

  • Shed, garage or carport clear-out before moving or selling
  • Green waste from a garden overhaul or storm cleanup
  • Hard rubbish that doesn't fit in council pickup
  • Renovation off-cuts (timber, plaster, light materials — not asbestos)

How we work

What actually happens

  1. Walk through with you, agree on what goes and what stays
  2. Load by hand into the trailer or truck
  3. Sort into general waste, green waste, scrap metal and recyclables as we load
  4. Take to the appropriate tip, transfer station or recycler
  5. Sweep up the area before we leave

What's included

In the quoted price

  • Labour to load
  • Vehicle and tip/transfer-station fees
  • Sort for recycling where it makes sense
  • Sweep-up of the area we worked

Honest about scope

What can go wrong, what's not included, what we check first

FAQ

Rubbish Removal questions, answered

Do you have a minimum service for lawn mowing?

We prefer regular fortnightly or monthly visits because it works out better for both sides — we know the block, you know what you're paying. One-offs are fine; they cost a bit more per visit than the recurring rate.

We have protected trees on the block — can you still do garden work?

Yes for everything that isn't the protected trees. For the trees themselves, council approval is required and you'd lodge that, not us. We won't quietly cut into a protected tree because you asked us to; the fine lands on you, not the tradie. We do check council mapping before quoting if it's relevant.

Can we book everything as one quarterly visit?

Yes. Plenty of clients book a quarterly grounds visit covering mowing, garden tidy, hedge trim and any small rubbish clear-out as a single morning's work. Cheaper per service than booking each individually, and the block gets the same crew each time.

Ready for a real number?

Phone is the fastest. Quote form if you'd rather write. Either way, you'll hear back with a written number, not a starting price.
