Lawn mowing on a cycle
Fortnightly or monthly mowing across the Northern Rivers. Edged, blown down, green waste taken away. One number for the lot.
Freshly mowed Northern Rivers backyard with clean edges along the garden bed and driveway — placeholder until real photos loadA regular mowing service is one of the small things that quietly changes how your house looks for the year. The lawn stays the right length, the edges stay clean, the deck stays free of cut grass.
We do fortnightly or monthly, whichever suits your block and the season. Most Northern Rivers blocks need fortnightly between October and April (the growing season) and can stretch to monthly in winter. We adjust without you having to ask — we’d rather charge less and skip a winter visit than turn up to a lawn that didn’t need it.
The mowing itself is the obvious part. The bits people forget: the edge against the driveway and the path (sharp, not gouged), the line-trimmed strip around the trees and the fence posts, and the blow-down at the end so you don’t walk grass clippings inside. We do all four every visit.
Green waste: if you’ve got a green bin and you’d like the clippings in there, we’ll bag and load them. If your bin’s full or you don’t have one, we’ll take the green waste with us — flagged at the start so it’s in the quote.
We don’t do lawn fertilising, weed-and-feed treatments, or full lawn renovation. Those are specialist tradesmen; we’ll happily refer you to someone if your lawn needs that side of things.
When you need this
The reasons people call
- You want a regular service, not a tradie scramble each time
- You're a landlord or property manager keeping a tidy rental
- You're getting the place ready for sale and need it kept up for opens
- You've gone away and the lawn's gone over your head
How we work
What actually happens
- First-visit walk-around — confirm boundaries, garden beds, irrigation lines, kids' toys, dog bowls
- Mow to the right height for the season (taller in summer to shade roots, shorter in winter)
- Edge the lawn against paths, drives and garden beds with a line trimmer or edger
- Blow down paths and decks so we leave them cleaner than we found them
- Green waste either bagged (you put out with green bin) or removed depending on your call
What's included
In the quoted price

FAQ
Lawn Mowing questions, answered
Do you have a minimum service for lawn mowing?
We prefer regular fortnightly or monthly visits because it works out better for both sides — we know the block, you know what you're paying. One-offs are fine; they cost a bit more per visit than the recurring rate.
We have protected trees on the block — can you still do garden work?
Yes for everything that isn't the protected trees. For the trees themselves, council approval is required and you'd lodge that, not us. We won't quietly cut into a protected tree because you asked us to; the fine lands on you, not the tradie. We do check council mapping before quoting if it's relevant.
Can we book everything as one quarterly visit?
Yes. Plenty of clients book a quarterly grounds visit covering mowing, garden tidy, hedge trim and any small rubbish clear-out as a single morning's work. Cheaper per service than booking each individually, and the block gets the same crew each time.
